You Gotta Let It Ride

PrintSometimes you just feel yourself slowing….down.

Resistance.

It happens to all of us, especially when we are growing into that next level of who we know we can Be.

First, know that this resistance is natural. You wouldn’t be growing without it. Trust that you are moving in the right direction.

Then, you gotta let it ride.

Accept that you feel the resistance. Feel the discomfort. Feel the fears. Face these feelings head on.

Don’t judge yourself for having these feelings. Just allow yourself to Be with how you really feel.

Be kind to yourself. It’s in these moments of resistance that you need to give yourself more compassion and love.

You don’t have to rush through this process. Just give yourself permission to feel whatever you are feeling. The resistance will pass.

Just know that this is a part of your process to reach that next level in your soul.

Our job is not to figure out how we will reach that next level of our growth.

Our responsibly is to allow ourselves to just Be and feel. To allow the natural flow to move through us.

We are a part of a Greater process that is moving through us and supporting us to expand.

Resistance is a good thing. It’s a clear a sign that we are one step closer to experiencing our Greatness.

Just let it ride. On the other side of your resistance is an expanded version of you ready to take that next leap.

Would love to know how you move through your resistance as you continue to reach higher toward your goals. Please share your comments below. Sharing helps us all!

I am so happy you sent this because lately I feel this intense feeling in my stomach like I am doing to much or some days not enough for the business. Like I got lost on the journey to heal myself from the inside out which I had to not worry who liked me and who didn’t. In the process I fell in love with myself all over again and realized I am awkward and funny and loving and free to be just who I am and those who should be in my life will stay and understand the journey I was on. I always appreciate your weekly inspirations because it be so on the nail and many times as I am cultivating new ideas I get scared when I launch them and wonder will they succeed or will they be taken for granted. The universe gives me what I need at the end of the day and it works out perfectly and I just have to get out my own way and let the natural flow of my ideas work with what god has for me. I so appreciate and love you and your courage to be transparent!

Thanks so much for sharing your heart, Jackie! I’m learning that resistance is just part of this process to expand into who we are Becoming. The trick is to not let the resistance stop us, but to allow it to guide us to move to our next level. I have always admired you for creating a successful business based on who you are as a person, a brave, creative, loving leader constantly bringing beauty to her clients and her community. Again, your message is just what I need to hear. Lately I’ve been feeling like things are slowing down; there doesn’t seem to be that same momentum of things happening and creativity flowing as there was before. I continue to hold onto my goals, but things seem to be happening more slowly.

It’s good to hear that this is normal. Let it ride; that’s exactly what I will continue to do.

I appreciate your words, they are always so inspirational, motivating, and supportive.

    Love and Peace

Hi Karen! Yes, just because things slow down doesn’t mean there is no progress happening. Just feel the resistance. In time it will pass and you will feel inspired to move forward again. Trust that there is a Greater process supporting you. You are not creating progress on your own. Growing into our own is really an organic process. Trust your instincts and you will be good. xo

I have definitely hit a major wall of resistance. i haven’t done anything with the business in weeks because my day job has gotten so busy and then I re-injured my wrist and all the extra hours I was putting in on my computer at night was hurting it. So I stopped for a couple of weeks to rest it. Bottom line I know am scared to move on and figure out how to make it all happen. I am scared I am not an expert enough and I am scared to do it alone. But I am probably more scared of living with regret and I know that this fear will ultimately see me through. At least I hope so. =) Thank for this post. I needed the reminder.

Hi Brigid! Your feelings are totally normal. Resistance is meant to show us that we are moving closer to that next level for ourselves. Know that you are not meant to figure out how you are going to do this all on your own. Trust that you are a part of a greater process that is meant to support you. It’s taken me years to surrender to this truth. And it’s an ongoing process. Keep focused on your goals and ask Life to help you. Then notice how the help shows up. I’m learning that you have to feel good as you create. There needs to feel a sense of ease and grace to your process. If it feels hard, take a step back and do something that allows you to feel good. When you are in that state of feeling inspired again, then take action. Give yourself credit for how far you’ve come so far. Sending you lots of love on your journey! <3
